All Kinds of Women's Sweaters

Most people consider sweaters to be cold- weather clothing. Most sweaters are made from fleece, wool, or other materials designed to keep you warm. However, they are not normally seen as a desirable article of clothing to be worn when it is warm out and the body is prone to perspire even without the help of suffocating garments. So why would anyone consider wearing a sweater in warm weather?

Firstly, it's important to understand what falls under the name "sweater". A sweater can mean anything from the traditional long-sleeved tops made from thick materials that provide more warmth in the cold. There are actually many variations of sweaters, especially for women. Women's sweaters can include long- sleeved sweaters, sweater vests, sweater hoodies, henley sweaters and many more. Since there are so many different types of sweaters, it's reasonable to included them in warm-weather wardrobes. But how?

Take the sweater vest. While generally meant to provide extra warmth to the upper body, but because they lack coverage for the arms, they are perfect for sporting over tank tops and T-shirts. Some sweater vests are actually designed for warmer months by covering certain breathing spots. Also, sweaters don't need to be made from thick materials, you can find some made from thin, breathable fabric. These types of sweaters are perfect for the warmer months when evenings can still be windy and chilly, but not enough to warrant a full-on sweater.

Sweaters can also be useful in the summer when entering places that have high-powered air-conditioning. Libraries, movie theatres and shopping malls have all been known to blast air-conditioning during the summer months when the heat outside is unbearable. While it provides an immediate relief from the heat, one can start to feel quite the opposite once inside for a prolonged period of time. Thinner sweaters are usually able to sustain your natural body heat without getting you too hot or too cold. If not, there is always the option of rolling up the sleeves or tying the sweater around your waist or shoulders if it becomes too cumbersome to wear.
